Set in the middle of the Irish Sea, the Isle of Man is the geographical centre of the United Kingdom. It has a ten thousand year old heritage and has scenery on a par with that of England, Wales, Ireland or Scotland. Manx scenery encompasses the rugged cliffs above Port Erin, the rolling hills around Snaefell and the sandy beaches around the Point of Ayre.
Ballacowell is situated just off the TT course near the 18th mile. It is in an easy to find rural area within walking distance of Sulby and it's post-office/shop, pub (The Sulby Glen Hotel) and chapel. Ramsey, the nearest town, is just 4 miles east and Douglas, the island's capital, is just 16 miles south. From Ballacowell and Sulby in general, there is a superb view of Snaefell, the highest peak on the island.
